Black sheep squadron

Just bought volume 1 of “Black sheep squadron” on region 2 DVD. Seeing episodes of this show for the first time I am certain of one thing, that it will polarize opinion like nothing else. You will either love it or hate it, there is no middle ground. If you like gritty realism and historical accuracy then you will probably want the makers of this programme shot. But if you just want to sit down and enjoy colourful comic strip adventure then you’ll probably have a great time. Just remember to switch your brain off before watching.
The aerial footage, the principal reason for buying in the first place, is reasonably well handled, for a TV production, although continuity leaves a lot to be desired. In one episodes two “Vals” show up to bomb the base and magically transform into “Zeroes” as they depart. there are many examples of this taking place but it doesn’t detract to much for those who don’t mind, and accept it for what it is.
