Hi all, following on from Plazz’s thread here’s a few shots I got just prior to the thunder storm hitting.
We had a good day, managing to find 904’s starter sang and fix it in one day, must be a record
We also mamaged to fill both aircraft to the brim with fuel 😮 ££££££
904 is now all ready for the August open day

Plazz and young Rlangham having a chin wag about all things Bucc

Leave the best till last 😀

I will post a few more of the Cold War Jets pan later
Cheers

Always smiling!!!!
Had a comforting phone call with the insurance company so all ok now, I will have to come and chat this time round as I said I would do at the Lightning day but didn’t becouse you all seemed very busy doing what you do best!.
I only dream that I lived closer as I would make no hesitation in voulenteering my services as dogsbody, teamaker, sweeper upper or wheel licker!!!.
Right must put myself to bed before captain carlsberg gets the better of me.
Regards,
John.

What other airframes will be made taxiable? Is there plans for any additions to the collection?
Cheers,
J man
Hi to answer your question, the only airframe that is seriously being made taxible at the moment is the Bucc XX894 , which Plazz has been keeping everyone up to date with.
All others like the Vixen, two seat hunter and the other Bucc very long term candiates.
As for additions I doubt it, the collection of privately and Walton owned aircraft is big enough.
Taxiable at present are;
Our two Lightnings
Both of the JP’s
Swiss Hunter
Comet
Victor
Iskra
Camberra
Camo Bucc

is the guppy going walkies with the tug?
Peter the Tug is used as ballast when the winds get up the Guppy has a nasty habbit of walking off in high winds, the 5 tons of tug give it a nice fixed down position.

Could the Mysteire be made taxiable? She did seem to have an engine in her when i was at the open day but i did not look closely.
No chance, she might look reasonably good on the outside but she is well past her running days, she dosent stand close inspection.
The engine is still in but hasnt turned for many many years.
Its just a nice cosmetic job

Argh captured again! Don’t think the Guppy has moved for years, presumably the tug is just there to look good
