That will be why my own and 1Group’s flight in an R-22 earlier this year was free then! Actually, we were made well aware of this fact.
You are allowed to cost share though, but the rules on this are very precise and would involve paying exactly 50% of the direct costs of the flight. That could be a tad eye-watering in a JP.

But the CAA probably wouldn’t. It’s totally illegal to ‘sell’ a flight in a non-public transport certified aircraft other than for instruction
