Chaps,
As the topic title suggest, I’d be interested in any info you might be able to share on the Bristol Bulldog. Any books I should get or websites I should visit would be greatly appreciated!
Specifically I’d really like to know about the cockpit, internal structure and engine for all marks.
Many Thanks
Coanda

Hi Coanda,
I still have a number of copies of my Bulldog/Gauntlet book left. If you want a signed copy let me know.

thanks one-and-all!!
I am plannin on making a very detailed flight sim model, and also going to try plucking up the courage to scratchbuild it in 1/32 or 1/24th!!!! so all and everything is going to be useful!!
I have to go down london way in the next couple of weeks, so will give peter elliot a go, is he on these boards?
Thanks again!

Yes, a good book, but mostly text. It won’t help much with the requested cockpit / internal structure / engine details, which are well covered in the MMP volume.
Agreed Mike, but a cracking bibliography which may be of use? I haven’t seen the MMP volume but I don’t doubt it’s usefulness for such a research query though.

Try the Bristol Bulldog at the RAF Museum Hendon or their archives. Peter Elliott you should contact, he is a helpful chap.

Another one for you: Luff, D. (1987) Bulldog – The Bristol Bulldog Fighter. Airlife (ISBN 0 906393 94 9). A pretty comprehensive review of the type and it’s service. Don’t know if it’s still available though but worth looking for.
