I’ve been spending a happy hour or so playing amateur photo-recce interpretation with Google Earth. If you’re working in an area pictured at high resolution it’s great fun seeing what you can find tucked away.
The attached image is from the north side of Filton. The Canberra is very recognisable, but what do the swept wing and the wingless fuselage come from? Given it’s an Airbus UK site I’d hazard a guess the wing’s from an Airbus (A310???) but beyond that I’m not sure. What does the forum think?
Can anyone name the swept-wing plane and its companions tucked away behind a hangar on the northern edge of Broughton? I know what they are – it’s just a little puzzle for anyone who wants to have a look.

Is the fuselage a Jet Provost perhaps?
Just a (wild) guess…..
