On our way back to Weymouth on Sunday evening we took the opportunity to stop off at the RAF Warmwell memorial. One time home of 609 Sqn which fitted in with Snappers book signing at DX over the weekend. It was also the airfield that a number of Pilots flew from on their last sortie to or close to the Channel Islands, from which they would not turn.
Certainly a few ghosts standing with us, as we paid our respects with the sun going down that evening.
