Hi All,
Been a long time since I posted on here, but I need a spot of help. I’m building a 1/5th scale P-40E ( http://www.rcmf.co.uk/4um/index.php/topic,28633.0.html ), which will be in RAF North African colours. Couple of things I need help with;
Detail – I can’t seem to find good close up photos showing rivet/panel detail. Can anyone help? The more pictures, the better 🙂 .
Colours – What would be the correct Tamiya paint names for the upper & lower surface colours? If anyone has some colour wartime pics of well worn 112 Sqd P-40’s that would be a great help, too.

Hi Mark,
Yes, I know about Hendon’s P-40, but it’s finding the time to get down there. I was hoping to ‘cheat’ & get someone elses photos.

No idea what Tamiya call them but the correct names are: Middle Stone & Dark Earth (upper surfaces), Azure Blue (lower surfaces). The P40 in the RAF Museum has this scheme so there may be the place to go to check out details etc.
