Spitfire profiles

Hi all,

I’m creating a new website and therefor I’m searching for some spitfire profiles.

I still need one of a T.9, an MK.XVIII, Mk.IX and Mk.XVI

Would appreciate any help

thanks

(below an example of what I need  )

Spitfire 161 Trainer. This might help and do not forget to remove the cannons from the profile

I recommend the book “Spitfire in Action” by Squadron/Signal Publications. Its designed with modellers in mind and has excellent 3 views of most marks.

www.warbirds.be/spitfire/spitfiretree.htm is a good place for spitfire profiles

If you look at the profile Dan posted of the Grace-type Spitfire T9 (without the raised canopy) you’ll see the perspex tunnel that leads right back from the back of the canopy to the front of the rear canopy. On the “proper” T9 the canopy has the small, square glazing instead (like the canopy of a single-seater).

You’re probably right, but I don’t fully understand what you mean with the tunnel?

You’ve still got the “tunnel” between the canopies – the Tr.IX’s forward cockpit is more like the single-seater (if you see what I mean).

Thanks Dan,

I reworked the T.9 to an original model.

Thanks PL and Dan,

Dan, do you perhaps also have an Mk.XIV in that serie?
It would be nicer if I use the same kind of profiles..

Does anyone have a profile of a regular T.9?

Best I can do, from the profiles I fool around with when doing Spits. The T9 isn’t the classic look but the Grace Spitfire look.

Gear isn’t down obviously 🙂
