March Field Museum

A few more from my recent trip to California….

Most of the aircraft are outside, including the B-17, B-25 and B-29, which to someone from the UK, seems very odd, but certainly makes for better photo’s.

Hi, thanks for sharing your pictures.
Do you know if the P-40 is still there. I have seen a picture of one on a pole, reportedly from March Field. From the picture its a P-40F but I suspect a replica.
Cheers,
Mark

No – it is no longer there
Yes – it was a replica

March FIeld is outside of Riverside about 60 miles east of Los Angeles, it’s on the 215 south of the 60. It used to be a SAC base but now the Reserves have it, theres usualy 6-7 c-17 and 15 or so KC-135 there.
