Has anyone seen the participation list, looks incredible.
Lanc plus 2 Hurricanes, 2 Spits
4 Typhoons
C-17
Tristar plus Jag and Typhoon on each wing
Nimrod plus 4 Tornado GR-4’s
E3 plus 4 Tornado F-3’s
VC-10 plus 4 Jags
Diamond 9 Tornado GR-4’s
Red Arrows plus Canberra.
Time given as 16:00 to 16:40, but can this be right, it’s normally about midday.
We have our little spot on a railway bridge near Kelvedon, last year they came right over head, it was most impressive.
Can someone confirm the timings as I don’t want to miss the arial spectacular event of the year, Canberra with the Reds, wow.
Incidentally, practice supposed to be over Marham tomorrow with the flyby over Waddington, more info please.

Watched it from the north bank of the Serpentine. The formations were doing a bank to starboard giving a greta view to those on the ground.
I took some video and digi stills and will post when I get chance.

Heard some Merlins mid afternoon and the saw the 9 Tornados and Canberra pass to the south of us. Pointed out to my 3 year old that it was probably the last time he would see a Canberra in RAF service….. 🙁

I watched it from the Footbridge over the A40 (thanks for the suggestion). Great views as they went right overhead. Reds put thier smoke on as they passed over RAF Northolt which was a nice touch.

Saw it on BBC World, live, the commentator told us we were in the cockpit of a Spitfire looking out over the heads of the pilot, co-pilot and navigator ?!?!?!
Otherwise pretty good coverage, I tought.

Just goes to show some people have no taste or other things on their mind

Just got back from Feering railway bridge, I thought the flypast was superb, unfortunately my camera did’nt think so and I’ve been trying to persuade it to download for an hour.
It was interesting to note how the local residents took no notice of it whatsoever and just kept giving me puzzled looks.

Just got back from watching the Flypast at Hainault Forest.
What a fanastic vantage point. Everthing flew right over our heads. 😀
The BBMF went round five times before heading for the city. The two Spits were the MkII and V

Yes, a rather glaring error on the Spit, what with it boasting cannons!
And I agree about the bombaimer’s camera and was disappointed they didn’t relay it at that particular stage.

One mistake by Mr Snow, however. The Spit on the starboard side of the Lanc was the Vb, not the IIa. It was good to see the BBC show the Queen smiling when the Tornado Diamond 9 from Marham flew over, not surprising as she it the honorary Air Commodore of the Station. Nice shots out of the Bomb Aimers position, however, a shot of the Mall and Buck House from that vantage point would have looked really cool. 😎

Saw the flypast from Rayners Lane as it passed in the distance on its way to pass over Northolt

Great flypast, watched it on the telly, and the on board shots in the Lancaster were fabulous.
And it fair brought a lump to the throat when the red, white and blue smoke was emitted by the Red Arrows formating with the Canberra.

I think some of the aircraft are off to do other flypasts.

Some of the parafin burners got well out this way. Just heard a couple of their groups but couldn’t see them

I thoroughly enjoyed the views from inside the Lanc (no bombsight fitted though- removed just for the camera today boys?) but the exterior shots of the actual fly-by were not so hot- seems to me every time the BBMF go over Buck House, the BBC never show it all that well!
Enjoyed the little bit of her in the hangar beforehand, too.

Huw Edwards has just said the flypast will be at about 1pm. From the east.
