Does somebody have a picture of the instrument panel of a Meteor F.4 as I think that the one I got comes from such an aircraft…

Rob,
The answer to your PM is I really don’t know, I have never seen a picture of a F1 cockpit, I normally find the research Dept at RAF Hendon very good. Drop them a line and they will send you some illustrations of a F1 cockpit layout. They normally charge a nominal fee for the photocopying and postage.
Any one interested in the different Meteor types and illustrations and pictures of the aircraft including numerous cockpit layouts should consider buying this book : The Gloster & AW Meteor by modellers Datafile ISBN 0-9533465-8-7 SAM Publications. It’s a very comprehensive read on all the different variants of the Meteors built.

Perhaps someone at MAM with a digital camera could oblige? – It’s a long time since I’ve seen it but I think the panel on EE531 is complete.

I’d be interested in any photos of the instrument panel for the Gloster F.9/40 or the Meteor F.1 (Have a feeling it might be the same as the F.3’s but not sure)

WH453 was an F.8 but maybe the pics are useful?

Meteor panels.
Can you provide us with a photo? I think the F4 was similar to the F3. I have posted photographs of a number of Meteor instrument panels (including an F3) on page 8 of the thread titled “instrument panels” Hope this is of some help but if you have a picture then all the better!
