New book on the Grumman Mallard

For those like me who think that amphibians are the coolest, and that Grumman’s Mallard is one of the nicest most exclusive aircraft in the world, through the Yahoo groups Mallard, I’ve been informed of a new book – details of the
Grumman Mallard book here.

NB: I have no connection with the publisher, and I haven’t seen it (yet) so you now know as much as I do about it.

That looks like a nice book, would go great with my ‘Bailey’s Bird Annual’….
I have flown on a couple of Mallards, both from water and land, including the one in the ‘Miami Vice’ opening credits! 😀

I was told by a local warbird pilot/restorer that the world’s largest concentration of private Mallards is in the Priest Lake, Idaho area…something like 4-5 AC based in the area. His father bought a spare P&W Wasp engine off an owner for a project.
Hope to see one someday.

That looks lovely, always been a Mallard/Goose/Widgeon fan…they’re so…elegant (sorry Albert the Albatross doesnt do it for me) another one to put on the ‘I’d really like it but I cant justify it’ pile… 🙁
