How is the restoration going on this Spitfire I heard somewhere that it may fly again this Year ? 🙂

I’ll be looking forward to this, when it happens, since the high-back Spit XIV seems to be somewhat under-represented in the world.

My RRHT Newsletter arrived a few days ago – I quote from page 10…
“Spitfires
“The Mk XIX, PS853, continues to fly approximately two dozen hours in the season supporting the Company businesses, employee and community events, and selected commercial shows.
“The RM689 rebuild progresses, albeit behind the original programme, and announcements will be made when appropriate.”

i spoke to some guys from rolls Royce a few months back when they came to have a look around TFCs Mk 14.
Most of the major sub assemblies are ‘nearly there’
No fixed date of completion though
