Yesterday a Hurricane arrived by road at Duxford, suitably wrapped to defy identification, anyone know which aircraft this is?
Thanks in advance

TFC Hurri was boxed for transit.
TFC’s Hurricane Mk IV was being boxed on Friday 28th April. The Fuselage was due to be ‘fitted’ to a custom built frame prior to going into the ISO container.

I believe the FHC aircraft is already in Seattle
I believe also the ex TFC aircraft was leaving this week.

Oops. I just noticed the note saying that off to the side. Since all of the other pictures were taken in Canada, I made an incorrect assumption that the Hurri pix were also. Thanks for pointing it out.

Dennis,
No problem, glad you didn’t mind me pointing it out

the USAF Museum Hurricane went out in a Galaxy.
Just maybe they have decided to ship it without using a container, from memory the Hurricane centre section is too wide to fit into an ISO container, maybe that is why it was fairly well wrapped up.

if its there already, then surely it must have been arriving!!! the plot takes another turn!!! maybe, just maybe something else may have arrived for us all to drool over!!!
whats the state of play at hawker restorations? do they work on more than one plane at a time or is it one done and on to the next?

i thought both the tfc and hfc hurris left a little while ago. has anyone confirmed whether it was coming or going? its like sadsack said, surely it would have been crated if it was leaving? unless it has entered the country by air rather than by sea? didn’t a hurri depart these shores a few years back via mildenhall in the back of a galaxy (and no not the ford!!)
hmmmmm very puzzling.

i would take it, that it was the desert camo ex tfc hurri which is on its way to canada. our loss is most certainly canada’s gain.
You would think it would be crated.
Which was the most recent Hurricane to fly?
