Airshow DVD suggestions

I ask this every year and I usually get some good ideas, what would people like to see in the Airshow DVD’s I make this year (Assuming I do of course!) Either in the main programme or as a special feature.

Already included is:

Commentary delete option
As many Minicams as we can get
5.1 surround sound 🙂 (possibly)

Hi Steve,
Would it be possible to follow a pilot through his walkround, pre take off checks and then film the aircraft from the ground during start up, taxi out, run up-mag checks, then a take off and display, then taxi in ,power up and switch off, with associated cooling noises etc?!

Cheers, Alan

Steve, I agree with Alan. For me, the RNHF Sea Fury video/DVD set the standard: A perfect mix of narration, comprehensive pilot walkround with the right balance of tech, terrific cockpit minicam, and limited music.

Edited to say I would dearly love to see the ‘talking heads’ of veterans, from Alex Henshaw (what a scoop that would be!) to groundcrew.

Oh yes, in stereo please! 🙂

I know you have done a few in cockpit filmings but not to my knowledge anything like this.
Oh and how about some vintage jet start ups, igniters clicking etc, sounds that you cannot normally hear at a show!
Cheers, Alan

Veteran interviews. There will be pilots and groundcrew of 609 Squadron there again, I can arrange that for you no problem at all. Some historical footage perhaps? One of those attending I have on film from October 1942, and as we have (now) an original reel of film it shouldn’t cause any problems regarding copyright etc. pm me for details if you like Steve.
