Ive managed to pin down the location of most of the airframes used in the film but i just whant to check with you folk that i have them correct and maybe help me with the ones i dont have a location now on.
Me-109s (Ha112’s):
G-BOML – Crashed in Spain killing Mark Hanna.
G-HUNN – Gone to America, but where?
D-EFHD – ?
B-17s:
N17W – Now at the Museum of flight collection.
F-AZDX – Now ‘pink lady’ and owned by Jean Sallis. Where is it based?
F-BEEA – crashed and destroyed during filming
N3703G – Now oned by the American Airpower Museum
G-BEDF – Owned by the B-17 preservation trust at Duxford.
P-51s:
N51JJ – ?
G-BIXL – Now with the figter collection
G-SUSY – now G-CDHI and with the Real Aeroplane Company
G-HAEC – Still with OFMC
N-167F – Owned now by the Scandanavian Historic flight, based where?
NL1051S – ?
NL314BG – ?
Other planes:
Avenger – New Zealand now?
B-25 – ?
DC3 – ?

P-51D N314BG Sold to Les Heikkila (sp) in the USA.
P-51D N1051S Crashed killing owner George Krieger in 1995.
B-25J N1042B Sold to the US. Now flown as “Pacific Prowler”.

Mustang G-BIXL – Owned at the time of filming & still is by Robs Lamplough.
Mustang N51JJ – Owned by TFC at the time of filming and later registered G-BTCD. Now with OFMC as Ferocious Frankie.
The SHF P51 was resident in Belgium last year but not sure if she still is. :confused:

Buchon G-HUNN – Cavanaugh Flight Museum, Texas, registered N109GU.
Buchon D-FEHD – restored to Bf109G-10 status, now owned by Messerschmitt Foundation, Germany.
Mustang G-HAEC – now owned by Rob Davies, Woodchurch, UK.
I’m sure this has been mentioned before, but why not search the forums for the subsequent fates of these aircraft? I’d be mighty surprised if you found sod-all….
