Any Hurricane experts out there that might be able to identify the part in the attachment.
It was found by a gentleman who lives in Oisy-le-Verger. The part is from P3535 which was shot down on 19th May 1940 near Bachy which is 20 miles from Oisy-le-Verger. However another aircraft P3448 was shot down on 20th closer to Oisy-le-Verger.
The owner belives it may be part of an aluminium ammunition tray and wonders if it was interchangeble and therefore was really on P3448 at the time.

Hi TB167,
could you post a picture of the reverse side, .303 Feed shute did have the aircraft identification on but the end of this item does not look right.
