Hi,
Does anyone have a layout diagram for the .303 ammunition track fitted to Lancaster bombers? Possibly something showing the individual serials of each component?
Regards,

Mike
Is this the sort of picture you are after

No drawings for the economiser cover I’m afraid, the turrets are not covered by the drawings we have. but we have the maint/spare manuals for the FN121
The other drawing I was looking for was A1627 but we have sold out. I will post picture of said drawing, we have one framed in our crewroom, on here tomorrow.

Lanc drawings
Hi Mike – I purchased the complete set of drawings some time ago. Although haven’t actually looked through all 22,000!
I’m preparing to visit the UK next week but will try to dig them out and have a look round.
Cheers,
Troy

I’m quite sure it was insulated.

It’s a great thing you did Fluffy!
Do you know of any drawings for the oxygen economizer cover in the FN121 turret?
I’m also looking for a drawing to frame or post on the wall in my shop. Would you recommend any?
Peter: I’d love too, but the outside looks like an old oil tank!

Heres a picture from PA474 showing a section of the ammo track, we fitted this a few years ago. We borrowed the tracking from S for Sugar and had it copied by Airframe assys

Not bought, but we supplied the 22,000 drawings that you can get from Lancasterrestorations.com

I ordered the drawings last night and got them this morning. I’ve only had a quick look at them and they don’t look too bad. There are probably a few part nos that I can’t make out.
I just finished printing them out on 24 x 36″ here at work.
I have bought a few drawings from Lancasterrestoration.com. Has anyone bought the entire lot of lanc drawings?
Thanks again Fluffy!

Yes, you can read the part nos of the track sections although the drawings are not that brilliant The originals they scanned, were not that good.

Thanks Fluffy,
Just had a look at the previews of these two drawings. Do you think that they will be legible?

I bought a copy of the attached drawing a few years back from Lancasterrestoration.com, but it shows the FN82 turret with the .50 cal track.
