I wonder myself, unless it has gone to be re winged ?
I think it is owned by the USAF museum but they have a B29 and a B50 on show ?
I will ask when i go in June, or i will e mail them they are usually very helpful.

curly boy – hmm not something you could miss!! – the car park was in the process of being resurfaced on my visit. Didnt see any sign of the B50! – I wonder where they hid it?

Theres a “secret” junk yard out at Borrego Springs with all sorts of stuff stored there, most of it belongs to Carl at AeroTraders & i seem to recall there being large B29/50 parts….

The B50 is in the carpark it is only a fuselage at the moment, it was the 1st aircraft to fly around the world without landing, flypast published my pic of it in the Feb 2002 (i think it was) issue.
It is supposed to be getting the wings from a scrapped KC97 tanker, maybe they have’nt got around to it yet ?
