According to the IWM website the Courtesy bus is being withdrawn except for airshow days. Does the C7 bus operate a Sunday service?

Link for Sunday service.
Last time I saw it it was a bread van though so not very disabled friendly, could have changed now though.

I’ll have a check around but it always used to be the case that the Cambridge to Saffron Walden bus on a Sunday would call at the IWM I think it still does. As for disabled access the C7 is operated by Stagecoaches Man single deckers with the odd Dennis Trident throwen in, they both have wheel chair access including carring ramps for easy drive on ability. It’s a shame to see the service go I had a good couple of years driving it, it’s amazing the people you would meet. 🙂

I agree that it doesn’t seem to be smart to stop the only public transport to the museum on a Sunday. It costs me a lot of money to visit Duxford: flights, trains and hotels etc, so I was always glad to be able to save a few pounds by using the courtesy bus. On the bright side though, for me at least, is that i usually attend on airshow days and there will still be a free bus put on for those.

Madness
So if you rely on solely Public Transport then your screwed. Well done IWM – what next? Just spent ten minutes trying to find another bus service and nothing. Madness.

Thanks for that!

It would be sad to see the bus withdrawn although on a cost ground then in some sense I could agree, Maybe they should try an ‘on demand’ service rather than a scheduled service.
This could save on fuel cost/wear an tear, I hope that it is not withdrawn all together as I would not be able to take my disabled father and I’m sure it would put off a lot of elderly/disabled visitors if they knew this service was not available any more.
