Any cracking photos of G-FURY out there?

Thought I’d ask this question as looking back I recall Spencer Flack’s Sea Fury, G-FURY, wasn’t around for very long and I think it was one of the greatest looking Furies that was made airworthy. After all the colour scheme was suberb and as with private number plates on cars today, how cooler can you get than to have G-FURY as your Sea Fury reggy? 😉

I remember seeing it in the static park at Yeovilton in 1980 with its wings folded which I think was it’s first public outing and then again at the 1981 IAT at Greenham Common, but very soon after that, Spencer had to make an emergency landing at Waddington following engine failure. 🙁

I seem to recall also that some photos of her remains in the field at Waddo were published in Aeroplane Monthly.

Anyway, what photos can we dig up then? Does anyone have any photos of how she looks now?

Thanks guys. For some reason the thread search didn’t work for me!???

Anyway, it would be nice to see some new photos here if anyone’s got any? In actual fact, does anyone have any movie footage of her in action?

The forum search facility is your friend.

It is the box marked SEARCH on the top bar.

Type in G-FURY, and it is all there.
