This is 44-85505 crashed 10 Sept 1951

SB-17G, 44-85505, 6RCF, Elmendorf AFB, AK, AAC, CBLEFF, 4, Grindle, Fred, USA, AK, 10 Mi SE Talkectna

Crew 7, 1 killed 6 rescued. Quite where Cliff Hudson (see news article) came involved I am not sure (as it was USAAF aircraft) out of Elmendorf – Maybe Jouralists are confusing two separate incidents

for contempary report on incident.. I wonder if Cliff Hudson was the ‘Civilian Flyer’ who found the aircraft (who ever it was he was flying a Republic RC-3 Seabee)
