Does anybody know the original name or designation of Princess Juliana?
It was built in 1942 either by U.S. Naval CBU (or Marines), but served as a military airstrip for only about half a year. My guess is that it was plannes/used as an emergency landing strip under the command of the USAAC Caribbean Air Force and later the USAAF 6th Air Force.
