Heads up ,The final countdown CH5 5th march

Go rent it or something it is worth watching just for the F14A vs A6M* dogfight.

How long is the spit flypast as final countdown is about 2 hours.

*yes i realise they are not real A6Ms but they sure look like them, good old tora tora tora again i think.

Unfortunately it’s on at the same time as the Spitfire flypast on News 24 and non of our videos seem to work, pity as I’ve never seen the film.

Also check out the high-tech yaw indicator on the F-14 – a piece of string on the anti-glare panel in front of the windscreen.

You can see it in one of the close-ups as they go after the Zeros.

look for the F14 and zeros scene, there’s a shot when the tomcat dose a nose dive and last minute pull up ,the sound effect for that scene, was apparently mixed with the pilots wife’s screams, as she saw the film in a preview.

Hokum but worth it for when the F-14s bounce the zeros! thanks for the heads up!
