Last week I booked a holiday. Two minutes ago I realised I booked the holiday to coincide with the Duxford Flying Legends Airshow. How on earth could I be THIS stupid! Somebody shoot me please… 🙁
I’m looking hard now for a way to minimise the damage done… Are there any days preceding the weekend that practise flights are being held and foreign visitors arrive?
Man, I’m going to miss Flying Legends this year, it’s irreversible. I’m gutted 🙁
Is it going to be at…?”
I’m not… nooooooooooooooooo…
PS. I’ve updated my website with new photo galleries…

Have a friend with a similar problem. He has been attending the PFA Rally every year (all three days) for donkeys- It’s the same weekend in July each year. He had already got his foreign holiday in August booked when the PFA announced they were moving dates this year – to August, clashing with his hols.
He’s gutted.

Train from Stansted to Cambridge, free bus to Duxford from Cambridge station. That’s how I do it (unless lucky enough to get a lift from Cambridge instead).

But can you post the sound and smell too? 🙂
As I’m only going to Holland, it looks like I’m gonna try and fly back for one day! That way I should be able to catch most of the show. I just can’t miss it! Definitely one of the highlights of the year for me. If I book the flight early it will not cost me that much more than car petrol (I live 100 miles from Duxford). Just need to work out transport from Stansted to Duxford and back for the day…
