Hello,
According to the local rag, an event will be held in Southampton on March 5th, to mark the 70th anniversary of the Spitfire’s first flight.
At least two Spitfires are expected to participate.
Does anyone know any more, and which aeroplanes will be involved?
Thanks 🙂

No BBMF participation, Sorry!
Oh poo. I thought you might be hinting that TE was going to take to the air. Bit soon for that I guess.

Can’t say too much yet, but you might be surprised as to which Spit makes it there!!!!

As its early in the year the number of potential aircraft to attend will be limited by servicing/annuals etc.
That’s what I suspected might happen. I hope that one or two make it though. What about ARC/HFL?

I would be surprised if the ‘wooden prototype’ replica was not there.
For the 50th celebration it was lined up alongside P7350
Can anyone state how many new flyers have emerged in the last 10 years. It must be five in the UK alone.
