HAL Museum, Bangalore?

I hope to visit the HAL Museum in Bangalore whilst there on a business trip late next month.

Last time I was in Bangalore all I got was a tantalising glimpse of the HAL Marut as we sped past in a taxi. In planning next months work trip, it seems BA don’t do direct Bangalore-Heathrow on Friday nights 🙁 , so I’ll have to stay over and catch the Saturday night flight, which leaves me with a day (or half day) to kill… so where better to try to waste a couple of hours 😀

Has anyone else been to the Museum recently (I remember it was featured in Flypast a couple of years back) ?

Or, is anyone else from the Forum likely to be in Bangalore at same time, and fancy joining me there – probably on morning of Saturday 4th March?

If I get there I’ll post photos on here in due course – If anyone has any particular photo requests pls let me know in the next couple of weeks.

Mods- Please move this to General section if you feel it’s more appropriate there.

Cheers
Paul F

AFAIK , the exotic and unusual stuff is a DH Devon, which is the only example in a museum (not even the IAF museum has one) . but then this is pedestrian stuff in the UK.

I used to love the Mig-21U, it had all the production stencils on it and it was a treat to read thru the stuff and know what part of the ac is maintained how.. then these guys went ahead and painted all over it in ugly green.
