These two scans show a Buccaneer that made an emergency landing on 28th August 1974 at Sunderland Airport. The aircraft had suffered a birdstrike and was cleared to land at Newcastle but landed at Sunderland in error on a marginal runway length. The pilot was an American exchange pilot and I belive the navigator may have been Graeme Pitchfork. The aircraft had a replacement canopy flown in by Andover and departed after repairs.
Anyone know which Buccaneer this was

Sorry, cant help with the aircraft serial but she appears to be a 12 squadron kite. There strength at that time was :
XT274 / XT276 / XT286 / XT288 / XV165 / XV168 / XV334 / XV338 / XV341 / XV342
Hope this helps. 🙂
