Manchester Mk I – Initial aircraft had F.N.21A turret, later Botha type. Central fin and small type fin and rudder. 28 ft span tailplane. First ten airframes had flat type bomb bay doors as prototype.

MK Ia – 21st airframe and subsequent. Central fin removed and large type fin and rudder. 33 ft span tailplane.

Further development was instigated. Napier were sent an airframe to test fit Sabre engines but was never completed. Designated Mk IIa. Bristol Centaurus engines were also installed but never test flown. designated Mk IIb.

Both Manchester Mk I and Mk Ia were produced by Planet. Price can cause marital disharmony.
