Now you will all think that this is really sad.
I just wandered into the living room and the telly was on, tuned to E4, with Big Brother live. George Galloway is sitting outside with Michael Barrymore, who is doing his washing. George just said, ‘Michael, I’ve seen a Spitfire fly over twice this morning’.
While he was saying this you could hear the sound of what sounded like Merlins.
I think that the set is at Elstree, but I’m not sure, is there a Spitfire likely to have been flying around there this morning and if so which one.
I did like Barrymore’s quip in reply of ‘ Perhaps the Germans will start dropping leaflets on us’.
There you go, Big Brother on the Historic Forum, but for a good reason of course.
