Hi All,
Can any of you guys give any further info on this plate that I found while metal detecting recently. Found very close to former RAF Wickenby.
Top left reads MKVC so is it from a spitfire?
Other markings are:- 6D/483MN & AM44386/41.

It’s from an Oxygen Cylinder, Mk. VC, Stores Ref. 6D/483.
Common to a great many aircraft, hence not necessarily from a Spitfire, the Mk. VC being purely co-incidental, of course.

a bit of a tail wheel from a spit maybe . just a wild guess thou.
