BTW, does anyone know what was the first RAF trainer to wear this red/white/grey scheme? I’m thinking the Dominie as I can’t recall seeing a fluorescent marked example?

As far as I can remember, the first public airing of the new colours was on a Jet Provost at the Royal Review, on the RAF’s 50th Birthday at Abingdon in 1968. The first couple of Dominies did wear dayglo, though I think they were repainted before entering regular service.
