Does the Strathallan Aircraft Collection still exist as the only reference
I have found on the internet says of one a/c that it “used” to be a part of the collection.
If it is no longer – does anyone know what happened to the exhibits?
I am particularly interested in Anson G-AGWE.
Many Thanks
OG

Yup, Ollie’s right… unless it was the Yale that went to Old Warden. :dev2:
Best wishes

Will take your word for it, but I’m fairly certain that one Lizzie has gone to Florida in the past few years – thought it was that one, but must be mistaken….

Nice pics 🙂
Where’s that Lizzie now? Is the the one that Kermit Weeks now has, or is that another one?
If i remember correctly it is now flying at Old Warden.

I have a pic somewhere that must be from around 1984/5 of the Lanc painted up (albeit only a head-on shot, I think)
I’ve got a shot somewhere taken at about the same time but its a tail-on shot. I’ll try to find it. Maybe we can join them together to get the bits in the middle. 🙂
Anyone know what happened to the collection of Barracuda panels that had some interesting nose art on them? Hopefully Yeovilton has them now.
Best wishes

The Mossie was still there in 1984 when I visited, but by that time the Lnacaster had been painted into Bomber Command colours.

Anytime I see pics of Poor 976 it makes me sad. Hopefully one day she will be brought out and rebuilt.. Cmon Kermit!

I think I’ve posted most of these before on various threads…….however, these taken around 1982, after the auction, Mosquito still present awaiting delivery to Kermit Weeks

I will put some more photos on especially for Scotavia. If you wish them on a CD or emailed just PM me.
PS Scotavia your web site was agreat help as I nearly directed some microlights to see if Skitten was in a good enough condition for landing. I didn’t see the quarry last time I was there – many years ago.
