I’ve just heard the distinctive sound of a Merlin engine flying some where towards Duxford from my perch here in North Essex. Could it be MH434 on an air-test. Or has some other aircraft just had a first flight maybe? Not the time of the year I expect to hear the sound of a Merlin. Sound must be travelling well on the northerly wind today, as my proximity to Stansted means everyone keeps their distance.

IAC 161 will make Merlin noises in the sky, on a regular basis, through the Winter months subject to good weather 😉
