“As Rob has stated, the next date for cleaning at OW is January 15th. It seems that some extra work is required. We all love the shows we see there so let’s see if we can get as many SVAS members to come out on that day and break the back of the work ready for the CAA’s inspection. I dare say very few of us like what might be considered to be gardening, but these tasks such as stone picking, the replacement of markers and the upkeep of the control tower and signals square are all vital to the CAA’s inspection.
I can vouch for the fact that it’s done in good company and there is a real feeling of satisfaction when you’ve completed a task, ask anyone who finished the Avro XIX last Sunday. Let’s see just how much we can achieve.
Could someone who still has posting priveleges on the other forum start a similar thread asking SVAS members registered there to come and join us for a great day out and to help get OW ready for the new season.”
I’ll do my best to be there on the day,but I know there’ll be alot going on at work in the new year so no garauntees.Fingers crossed i’ll have enough free time to be able to make myself useful.

if it’s too wet then we won’t be able to pick stones out because we’ll leave footprints in the surface.
No roller at Old Warden then?

My better half is still restricted from posting here, but has committed himself to being there over that weekend, that is unless I can find some more decorating for him to do, he’s becoming quite proficient at it with all the spare time he’s had recently.
