These photos were all taken at Newark Air Museum last November, it was a good day out but the coldest day out ever.

You mean Shackleton, Hastings and Vulcan. Hanger 2 isn’t big enough for them, that hanger is more or less full up now. Just about to add Meteor NF.12 and Draken in hanger 2 from hanger 1, that enables to display the Tiger Moth and Auster better, also the Monospar when it returns
May be in the future, another hanger will be built for some of the others outdoors.
The Hastings is looking rather dirty now as its really hard to clean an aircraft like that.

I know that Newark recently had a hangar built but wouldnt it be nice to see them have a hangar big enough to house the shack and hastings!?

I noticed that to. I thought id better ask than risk making a fool of myself. Having never sat in a hunter i would not know how cramped the cockpit is.

What is with the hunters cockpit off? Are they working on it or the interior.
I would say yes they are working on the interior. The seat also looks out, which is the only way to work on the interior!!
I have found that everything that is dropped in a Hunter makes it way to the most inaccessible part of the cockpit, i.e. under the seat. There must be a great big magnet under there!! 😀

They really need to sort the Buccaneer out, it looks so dirty. I wish it was indoors. The Hastings is also rotting.

Great shots thanks very much for posting, the hanger seems full now, we were last there at Cockpit fest 2004 when we had a stall in the hanger
