Hello everyone,
Could someone please tell me what type of aircraft this is.

I assume circa 1941 Southern Aviation School / Maxwell Field. My father was RAF and trained in Canada and the US.

One was converted into a sort-of Spitfire replica some years ago…

It started life as a pilotless drone!
It may have sunsequently used for training but I would doubt it as it never carried more than one pilot!
