Making headway…

Don’t you love it how everything seems to come together at once?!!

Those of you with a good memory will remember my attempts to get a recovery allowed on Lancaster NF920 in Sweden. Well, the red tape seems to have finally parted…

I’m not going to count my chickens yet (I did that before…) but I got some more permission letters come back with a positive reply. As far as I’m aware, I’ve got all I need.

And..

In about two weeks time I’m due to speak to the gentleman who will do the retrieval for me. When we last spoke he gave me a timescale of 18 months from getting the permission to having the aircraft in the UK…

Regards to all,
Rich

definitely interesting! What’s the airframe status? How r u going to bring it back home?
Sometimes the way of bureaucracy can be a nightmare, but a Lanc is well worth it!!
Do u have a roomy backyard btw? And last but not least will it be at Legends?? 😀

Nice to know, wasn’t familiar with this attempt but had a look at a thread about it. What are your plans for the Lanc if she does come back to the UK?
