Hi all
With the arrival of Oscar Ducks A26 pending within the next two months I started thinking about the possibilities for the future of a medium Bomber display downunder.
1) A26 – Oscar Duck
2) A20 – Murray Griffiths – 2 to 5 years
3) B25 – Rumor (Victoria?)
4) Hudson – Temora – Flying
5) Beaufort – Ralph Cusack (Queensland – 2 to 5 years)
6) Ventura – pushing my luck – either RAAFM repaired or bring in another? (Does anybody know for sure if the RAAFM one was repaired after the prang or not – it wasn’t that bad from what I heard )
Could make for a bit of a stunning flypast and one never seen I would imagine and with the exception of the A26 they all flew with the RAAF !!!
Kindest regards
John P

Hi All
You know the worlds a funny place – I wouldn’t count on the Ventura not flying again
As we chatted a few weeks back – where should we have the downunder air spectacular 2010 – common agreement seemed to be Temora or somewher in Western NSW
I wonder if the Loadstar has gone too far now – I got to see her fly a couple of times and she was great to see in the air – got rid of the ugly duckling look of Lockheeds on the ground.
Regards

The Lodestar is still in NZ, but not flying. Now it grows grass and lichan
The plans to use it as a tourist passenger plane were apparently halted by the CAA so it hasn’t flown in years. It now sits outdoors with a mouldy old Canberra wreck in the Wanaka weather. A huge shame.

Remember the A-26 first staged through Brisbane on their way to New Guinea during the first combat trials. RAAF Mustangs and Meteors escorted Invaders from the beginning to the end of the Korean War…

Well you better start planning Warbirds Downunder Air Spectacular 2010.
Get the Blenheim and the Mossie over from NZ as well.
