Visited MAM today, looks a lot better now they have more of the aircraft repainted. There was a model show on, so in the hangars there were model shop stalls and club stalls everywhere, which got in the way of the aircraft quite a lot. There were also about six cars parked in front of the Canberra which made getting photos hard. On the plus side, got to sit in the Hunter F.6 (looking beautiful) and the Argosy. Also, the Huey recently restored and due to go on the airshow circuit flew in and landed, not sure if it’s based there or not. Heres some photos, more on my online photo gallery in my signature.
I’ve had to attach the photos as for some reason webshots won’t let me direct link
First one is of the Hawker Hunter F6 XF382 taken from the Argosy cockpit, and next is new Sea Harrier FA2. The even newer Mil 21 Hind, the wing pylons and rotor blades are on the ground behind her is on the third photo.
Fourth is of the Armstrong Whitworth Argosy with the nose door slightly open, then a USAF Voodoo, not sure which company made this, McDonnell?
