A nice pic of ML407 in her G-LFIX markings and primer, on her first flight following rebuild.

G-LF.IX
I remember zipping down to St Merryn, Cornwall, to capture the first flight. Things were running a little late and to fill the time, among other things, I applied the temporary registration using two inch wide masking tape.
I couldn’t resist adding that smallest of full stops behind the ‘F’ and the ‘I’.
By the end of day 15 April 1985, the weather had remained hopeless and I had to return. The forecast was poor but she flew the next day.

Presumably Nick, the late, great man himself was flying it.

Nice photo Daz but I suspect its a later flight (note exhaust staining and absence of Mrs Grace in the rear cockpit).

A model of primed RCAF5481/G-ORGI 1991 (maybe not 100% correct, all I had was a small picture in an old FlyPast).
