This coming weekend, August 13th – 14th, the guys who look after Bournemouth based Buccaneer, XX897, hope to be powering her up, subject to serviceability and staffing levels, I will be posting confirmation on Saturday morning.
Entrance is gained through the Museum.
Hope to see some of you there.

I have just received confirmation that the guys are fully intending on a run or two this weekend.
Red Arrows are also based at Bournemouth this weekend and also the Sea Vixen is due out to Eastbourne Tomorrow (Sunday 14th) at 3pm for a display, so its going to be quite a busy weekend.

Buccsociety,
Any idea when your website will be up and running again?
J man
We are currently in the process of changing to a new and larger server that will allow us to use MPEG’s etc without costing a fortune.
This is likely to entail that the site will remain off the web until the end of the month.
One of the planned MPEG’s will be of XX897 being started up (hopefully taken from this coming weekend).

The old Quicksinker project, thought that was finished, must be 5 years since the Coniston Cowboy was going to make the attempt. 😀

I am one of the sponsors, so please don’t fly away with our engine!

The official line is that the Bucc is to be used as a test bed for the Boats engine.

Thanks buccsociety,
In was going to ask a question about it today. Saw it on massive engines last night on discovery. Aren’t the engines going to a speedboat record attempt?
