Has anyone got a cutaway of a 12 gun Hurricane and what was the reason the outer guns were staggered (in the thinner part of the wing) when the other 4 were in line?

Wrong section mate, this needs to go into Historic aircraft section.

Hi Mac,
Off the top of my head, it’ll be the ammo feed. The four inner guns weren’t in line – the two on the outside of the quartet were further aft than the inner two (to allow stagger of the breeches for the ammo feed) The ammo feed for the outboard of the outer two ran inwards, and the feed to the inner two ran outboard. The extra two guns per wing just followed the same principle, and the barrels (rather than the end of the blast tubes) stuck out of the wing making it obvious.
Hmmm. Clear as mud explanation. Hope it helps!
