Question about Duxford….

Seeing as I haven’t been there since I emigrated 15 years ago… Whats that bedpan shaped earthworks between the superhangar & the M11?

100% the old kids assult course, Zip slide, Swingy thingys, Slides.

Confirmed. I took seven kids round Duxford on a school trip a few years ago, and when I asked at the end of the day, which bit they enjoyed the most, five of them said “the adventure playground”. Little buggers.

Isn’t that where they buried the unwanted Typhoons after the war?

I may be wrong (frequently am!) but they did have a kids adventure playground thingy there for a while – rather like a watered-down army assault course.

That is the only thing I can think of it being, it looks to be in about the right place.

If it helps, I’ve absolutely no idea. It’s between the overflow part of the car park and the HFL (?) compound. I’ve never used the motorway sliproad adjacent to it and I suspect most that have find concentrating on the approaching roundabout to be advisable.

I’ll make it a bit simpler:
Click the link in the above post, scroll right a bit & look at the triangular thing…

Sorry for confusing so many people…
