Does any one have any photo’s of background history of the JP XS 181.
I have the cockpit which I use for display purposes and would like to find out as much as I can about the aircraft.
Regards
John

Albert
Been away for a while and just seen your photos of my ‘aeroplane’. You have confirmed part of the story I was told ie that it was at Cranwell and used by CFI.
Stringbag
I guess you didn’t find anything on the history side?
Many thanks to you both

Ask Albert?
I have been taking colour slides seriously and non-stop since 1966, so I thought there might be a good chance I had taken XS181 along the way!
Bingo! I find I shot it twice, firstly in the grey & dayglo scheme at Cranwell on 8th June 1968, when it was a Wing Commander’s aircraft (note pennant on fin), who was the Chief Flying Instructor. Second shot after repaint at Mildenhall on 22 May 1971. If you, or any JP owner wants hi-resolution versions of these shots for printing, please PM me. I have lots more (sorry, not XS186 though!)

RAF Halton I would think, at some point between 1989 and 1993.
