Historic quiz

Blue Robin is specifically banned from entering.

How many hours do you reckon this aircraft has flown?

Excuse the picture quality, a snatched shot though the windows at Brussels airport last week.

Yes. Boring crap that.

1 wing, prop and guns. If it can’t meet the criteria, smelt it.

Shouldn’t this be in the Commercial forum? 😉

If you like.

Are we going to shift all references to Air Atlantique DC3 as well? :p :p

is that all… 😀 some of the early BA 747’s went ’round the clock,’ which caused problems on some of the computer records systems as they hadnt been designed with enough digits!! 😮 dont think any of them are still flying though..??

Well since Daz reckons it was flying before the Wright Brothers I’d guess so.

The tyres gave it away 🙂

Daz, CrazyM, don’t you own calculators? Man hasn’t been flying aircraft for 114 years, whilst in 1920 aircraft looked a little different from that one :p

Hours flown?

I’ll corner the low field. Flown? ‘0’ Test airframe?

Can’t hurt.

Let’s go daft – a million?? 😀

About 90000 odd judging by the wear on the tyres.

Well lets see what I can come up with.

The plane was delieved to Air France in July of 1979 flew the European Domastic route till being converted to a freighter where she did all sort of interesting stuff for certain type of Air Cargo Company the sold to AAI.

So My guess Blue Robin is she has 750,000 hours with three main Spar Wings changes and close to a million Landing Cycles.

Cheers

In terms of hours, it’s VERY historic (seriously) 😀

If you know what AMC did before and perhaps for whom, you could make a fairly educated guess. But for a 747-200 alone, it will be higher than 20000
