Most of the photographers were off at Fairford this weekend. For those of us who didn’t go there was the occasional recompense, including a little treat at Thurston near Bury St Edmunds.
This was very much a village fête in aid of the local Air Training Corps squadron with some flying displays every now and then, rather than a full-on display with stalls if you wanted a break from looking at aircraft.
Nevertheless, there were some very spirited displays from the likes of Mark Jefferies, Maurice Hammond and the BBMF.
First off, Mark was clearly enjoying himself in the Extra.
The BBMF brought the Dakota across for a couple of passes.
More to come later.

As promised, here’s the last lot of photos.
I didn’t catch who was flying the Yak …
Jerry Knight did a very nice job in the Harvard …
… and as always Maurice showed off Janie beautifully.

Y11F — yes, I haven’t put them all up yet. (I’ve made a mental note to do them this evening!)
Seeing how slowly they’re loading at work — they’re coming from the machine at home — I might have to try the Forum hosting for the other pictures.
