Does anyone have any up to date images of AirSpace?

I hope everyone enjoys Flying Legends. I’m not going – too expensive as I have a documentary to shoot, and a local singer to photograph for a magazine. Does anyone know how far they are with the new AirSpace?

Have fun and please don’t let the bugger’s (those with bombs) get to you. If they do – they win.

Maybe it’s been out in the rain for so long, that it’s shrunk…?

For some reason the Vulcan at Duxford seems kind of small compared to how big other Vulcans are when i see them, like the ones at Hendon and Cosford. Then again, its probably because of the sheer size of the buildings and aircraft around the Vulcan at Duxford. Beautiful aircraft though

Looking at those great views I was always led to believe that the Vulcan was a huge bomber and the Concord a small airliner, doesn’t add up.

Interesting pictures Damien. Looks like the overall footprint is increasing by something close to 100% – 50% added to the length of the old Superhangar, and then additions along the sides. Looks pretty impressive. Interesting to see the Vulcan and Concorde giving scale to the building too.

Does it have to have a point? It’s just a statement !

Yes, otherwise there’s no conversation, just cryptic postings that do nothing but prevent Avro from doing a Michael Douglas on his way in to work.

It’s not always the most cost effective way of extending a building of that type to retain existing structure. Many would argue that your better off to scrap and start with totally new build which simplifies the project.

See, that’s a point, and well put. Q.E.D.

I think the upgrading is a jolly good idea- using the original structure but modernising it to keep costs down….

Wish they’d do the same at Hendon!

No camera with me today, but as of this morning, most of the roof panels are now in place on the extension on the side of the hangar where the old entrance and shop were…presumably work is progressing at a similar rate on the other side of the building (when one is whizzing round the M11 roundabout in the morning one tends to keeps one’s eyes trained on the road as much is possible :D)
