According to AIC47/2005 the London flypast contingent is leaving Duxford starting at 15:20 UTC as a section of 5 aircraft and then 4 further sections. It further states that after the flypast they will split into three sections and formation aircraft not landing at Duxford will commence their recovery to base from the Duxford overhead.
Does anyone know what is taking part in the London Flypast?

Generally speaking if you are early enough, say 0910-0945 you should have no traffic problems. It all flows quite nicely.
Luckily I know nothing of the blue badge arrangements 😉
Getting out? That’s a problem, depends how keen you are to get to the Adnams. If the weather is good I tend to hang around for a while. If the weather is not so good, might as well sit in the car in a jam and listen to the radio or a CD

That’s the way to do it. Spoken like a true Legends fan

If you are ever running late, dive off at Stansted, and then head to Duxford village on the back roads through Stansted Mountfitchet, past Audley End House, and do a left in Great Chesterford. Head for Duxford village. Go left in the village, and it takes you up the road that comes out at the new roundabout. It can save an awful lot of queuing.

Tony
The traffic system sems tohave been over hauled for the better, for once.
Blue badges & staff 1st car park off M11. All others follow the signs to Pot luck Parking, depending on time of arrival, Hope this helps your planning.

Best times to avoid are between 08:00 and 18:30hrs on the Saturday or Sunday. 😀
07:55 works fine and gets you a nice little spot near the Land Warfare Hall. Nice and close for a meet up at the tank bank with the various Forum misfits ( Blame Mark 12’s smell checker – it can’t find the word Forumites ).

I’ve found it best to avoid leaving too quickly after the display has finished. On Sunday, you’ll have the London flypast return to DX (or maybe they’ll head home to their individual bases…?) after 5pm, so stick around for a while. You can also take an alternative route, heading towards Shuttleworth on the A505, then onto the A11 (?), which avoids the M11 holdups and is a more scenic route. It eventually takes you back to the Stanstead roundabout, so it would be idea for you.
