Hi all. Does anyone know of a good resource for info on Operation Bodenplatte? I’m doing a bit researching for a new painting I’m due to start soon. I need info on what Luftwaffe units took part, bases attacked, etc.

Think there was a Hikoki book on this which may be one of the ones above but they usually have excellent colour plates and profiles….

Thanks for that Charley, I’ve also been recommended “Bodenplatte, The Luftwaffe’s Last Hope” by John Manrho & Ron Putz which I’ve picked up from Amazon.

Norman Franks’ book “Battle of the Airfields” is probably the most well-known on the subject (the 50th anniversary edition is the best version to have). I gather there has been more recent publishing on the operation but I don’t have copies of this.
